Mr. Wellesley was the founder and Chief Executive of IFX Ltd. and Finspreads Ltd. (UK-based brokerage houses). In 2003, he resigned as Chief Executive and sold his IFX holdings. Mr. Curling is an Executive Director and the Vice Chairman of Prestige Asset Management Ltd. Formally a Non-Executive Director of the ARCH Group (a UK-based investment and financial risk consulting group). He has over 38 years of investment experience and has held a variety of senior roles at Williams de Broe (WdB) including those of Chief Investment Officer, Head of Institutional Sales, and Chairman of the Investment Strategy committee. Prior to that Mr. Romanek was Executive Director of IGS Group, a boutique advisory group. London, a regulated investment manager, where his primary responsibilities were for operations and risk management.  In 2005 he relocated to Grand Cayman and set up City Fund Management (Cayman) Ltd. (a financial risk management consultancy) that has been supporting investment management companies in London, Cayman and the Bahamas for the past six years. Joseph Aquilina (Malta)

Mr. Aquilina is a resident of Malta and has been active in the investment services industry since 1997.  He serves as one of the Investment Advisors of Prestige Capital Management Ltd. of which he is also a Director and the company Money Laundering Reporting Officer.  He also serves as a non-executive Director, Investment Advisor and Money Laundering reporting Officer on a number of companies, funds, UCITS and non-UCITS, Hedge Funds, Fund Managers, SICAVS, Commodity Traders as well as a local Maltese financial services and insurance plc regulated by MFSA in Malta.  In 1971 Mr. Aquilina was an Alumnus of the Management Development Programme, of the Cranfield Business School.  Mr. Aquilina is a Certified Secretary and Administrator and in 2001 he qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.  Mr. Aquilina, a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Management, serves as that Institute’s Secretary, later as Vice-President for several years and he was also a Vice-President of the Malta Federation of Industry for some years.  Mr. Aquilina has a career experience spanning over 40 years, commencing with exposure at the highest levels of the Public Service including a tour of duty at the Office of the Prime Minister under different administrations.  He later moved over to the private sector and initially worked for two years in Germany and later became Malta Representative (Prokurist) and start-up General Manager of the local plant of Bogner GmbH, a top brand German Manufacturer.  Mr. Aquilina then became involved with the Telecommunications Industry, initially as Malta Representative of Mtel Communications of Jackson, Mississippi, USA and as the start-up Managing Director for SkyTel paging services.  Subsequently as Managing Director he started up a Malta based subsidiary company (covering the Mediterranean, Middle East and the Gulf area) of OMI Plc of London, a multi-discipline consultancy.  In this consultancy role Mr. Aquilina also acted as Hospital Director for Capua Palace Hospital from 1999 to 2003.  His most recent assignment saw him as CEO of Melita Cable plc, a quadruple play telecoms company, then a subsidiary of Liberty Global of Denver, Colorado.  Mr. Aquilina serviced in a quasi-judicial capacity on various Arbitration and Appeal Boards of various public Corporations and was Chairman of the Arbitration Board.  From 2003 to 2007 he was a court appointed Provisional Administrator of Price Club (Holdings) Ltd., a landmark case for defining Directors’ duties and responsibilities under Maltese company law.

Sandro Baluci (Malta)

Mr Baluci, a resident of Malta, has been in the investment services industry since 1993 and joined Curmi & Partners Ltd. in May 2010 as a portfolio manager specialising in Fixed Income securities and Treasury operations.  His primary focus in on managing/advising on income portfolios covering cash, money market and fixed income instruments for a variety of clients, especially large institutional clients.  Mr Baluci was employed by APS Bank plc (a Maltese credit institution) as the bank’s Treasury Manager managing the bank’s portfolio of investments.  Subsequently he set up the Portfolio Management Unit within APS Bank, setting up and acting as the primary portfolio manager for APS Income Fund, and managed various large clients’ portfolios on a discretionary basis.  During his eight year stay at APS Bank he specialised in Fixed Income and Money Market Analysis, Foreign Exchange dealing  and Asset Allocation.  Mr Baluci’s first employment within the investment services industry was as a trader with Hasenbichler Trading Services (HTS) (as Commodity Trading Advisor) between 1993 and 2001, where he gained experience in commodities and derivatives, Forex and equity trading.  He was responsible for most risk models and reports for HTS.  Mr Baluci received his Bachelor of Science (Physics and Chemistry) degree from the University of Malta.  He further obtained his CFA charter in 2006 and is a member of the CFA UK society and of ACI Malta.
